I shoot almost exclusively on early digital cameras from the late 90's and early 00's. My main camera is a Sony Mavica MVC-FD100 from 2002, and it shoots to 3.5in floppy discs. Something about the early digital .jpg compression just makes the images feel soft, ethereal, almost dream like. I feel that you just don't get the same kind of images with modern tech. However there are limitations to using early digital cameras. The max resolution of the FD-100 is only 1280x960 and you can only fit around 6 to 8 images to a 1.44MB floppy. If you shoot to 640x480 then you can fit around 20 images per disk.
